Penultimate Day of India International Regatta 2012
On the final morning of the Raymond India International Regatta 2012, the day started with light rains but let up as the sailors launched. However the wind remained very light from the NW and kept shifting. The sea was calm with about half a metre swell, but with the shifting wind, the sailors' fortunes also kept shifting and a small mistake cost highly.

Day Four of India International Regatta 2012
The fourth day Raymond India International Regatta 2012 though dawned wet, but later in the day the weather cleared up so that there was clear sailing weather for all the sailors who were rearing to go. The winds today were driven by clouds, thus, the sailors who looked for the clouds knew which way to go and where the pressure would come from. However towards the end of the day the wind dropped as it moved all the way to the East. After two days of rain, the agitated sea was smoothened  and the lower winds ensured that water conditions were ideal for sailing.

No Wind No Races
The third day of the Raymond India International Regatta 2012 dawned with dark skies and gloomy predictions, but the sailors turned up in force full of optimism. At the due hour the skies cleared and the sailors headed out but even as they sailed through the inner harbour, a squall hit and they returned to safety.

Day Two of India International Regatta 2012
The second day of the Raymond India International Regatta 2012 got off to a good start. With the rain over early in the morning, the wind blew the clouds away, but yesterday inclement weather made sure that the sea was in an agitated state with swells of over two meters and a formidable chop that coupled with a strong current made sure that sailors who drive on adrenaline enjoyed themselves completely.

Day One of India International Regatta 2012

The Raymond India International Regatta 2012 started off with a bang. With the sky clouding over in the North and the monsoon setting in yesterday, it opened the season for squalls to come in from the North. It is the season when lusty winds bring lashing rain. But these are conditions that good sailors wait for to test their skills and months of training.
